ABA Report Left Out and Left Behind, Examines Experiences and Challenges Faced by Women Lawyers of Color

Read the newest research, “Left Out and Left Behind”,  from the American Bar Association’s Long-Term Careers for Women in Law Initiative, focusing specifically on the experiences women lawyers of color have in the profession. Focus groups were conducted in major legal markets, where women of color shared how race and gender bias from individuals and institutions negatively affect their careers. Learn social scientists' recommendations for improving women of color's experiences in the profession. The report is issued by social scientist Destiny Peery, and attorneys Paulette Brown (ABA Past President) and Eileen Letts (Past Commissioner, ABA Commission on Women in the Profession.)
